Abstract

In manufacturing, quality assurance is a term that works for monitoring all production processes to improve the quality of the resulting product. In running quality assurance of product, then needed an effective information system in accordance with the current development of information technology, quality assurance in the process not only used in the world of manufacturing but also used in the world of education. One of them applied in the University or college. This research aims to implement a system of Quality Assurance which is contained in the manufacturing industry to be applied in the field of mechanical engineering academic Sriwijaya University, with how to build a website based system to ease in the storage, management, and search the data. With the web based quality assurance these mechanical engineering can determine the decision of what to do next to improve quality. On the initial design used Microsoft excel to create a database for the next in the sql file in order to become a convert can be read and displayed on a Content Management system (CMS) that is used. The process of programming a website done using Joomla CMS with additional fabric extension for displaying data that has been stored on Localhost to Web page. Data displayed on the website in the form of a custom view that displays only some of the columns to be publish. From the results of the programming there are many advantages ranging from economic aspects, control data, service, efficiency of operation, information dissemination, and performance.
