Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul “Pengaruh Kredibilitas Celebrity Endorser terhadap Brand Image (Studi pada Mahasiswa Fakultas Ekonomi Universitas Sriwijaya Kampus Inderalaya tentang Iklan lipstick Wardah versi Dewi Sandra)” . Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh Kredibiltas Celebrity Endorser terhadap Brand Image serta berapa besar pengaruh yang diberikan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan teknik analisis deskriptif dan teknik eksplanatif menggunakan analisis regresi linear sederhana. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui penyebaran kuesioner kepada 91 responden Mahasiswa Fakultas Ekonomi Universitas Sriwijaya kampus Indralaya dengan teknik purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variabel pengaruh Pengaruh Kredibilitas Celebrity Endorser yang cukup signifikan terhadap variabel brand image. Hasil tersebut diketahui dari pengujian hipotesis yaitu thitung 4,232 > ttabel 1,987 yang artinya bahwa terdapat pengaruh antara kredibilitas celebrity endorser terhadap brand image, serta pengaruh yang diberikan sebesar 16,8% dan sisanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain. Persamaan regresi linear yang didapat adalah y= 11,347 + 0,413x yang artinya bahwa setiap penambahan satu nilai kredibilitas celebrity endorser maka memberikan kenaikan nilai sebesar 0,413 pada brand image.
