Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi mempertahankan tradisi seramba dalam adat perkawinan Desa Bailangu di Kabupaten Musi Banyuasin. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Informan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah delapan orang. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah dokumentasi, wawancara, dan observasi. Uji keabsahan data yang digunakan meliputi uji credibility, uji transferability, dan uji dependability. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data yang telah dilakukan sebelumnya, maka dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa strategi mempertahankan tradisi seramba dengan cara meningkatkan peran pemuda dalam masyarakat, sebagai individu yang meneruskan tradisi dan mendukung tradisi serta menaati tradisi agar dapat dipertahankan, agar ikut dalam kegiatan desa dan ikut dalam berpartisipasi serta melakukan kegiatan sosialisasi dimasyarakat agar dapat memperkenalkan tradisi seramba melalui kegiatan sosialisasi warisan kebudayaan yang diturunkan ke generasi-generasi yang dapat melestraikan tradisi didalam adat perkwainan. Kata kunci: Tradisi, Seramba, Adat Perkawinan ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the strategy of maintaining the tradition of slaves in traditional customs in Musi Banyuasin Regency. This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The informants in this study were seven people. Data collection techniques used are documentation, interviews, and observation. The validity test of the data used includes the credibility test, transferability test, and dependability test. Data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. Based on the results of data analysis that has been done before, it can be concluded that the strategy of maintaining tradition is by increasing the role of youth in society, as individuals who carry on traditions and support traditions and obey traditions so that they can participate in village activities and participate as well as conducting socialization activities in the community so that they can introduce the tradition of seramba through the socialization of cultural heritage activities that are handed down to generations that can harmonize traditions in traditional customs.
