Abstract

Swakelola is one of the coal mining department unit at PT. Bukit Asam (Persero) Tbk that use excavator backhoe and dump truck for their mining activities with PT. Bangun Karya Pratama Lestari as owner of rent units. Based on mining sequen plan in 2013, production of total material target in amount of 18.207.506 Bcm, with 15.350.000 Bcm for overburden and 3.605.000 Ton of coal. In the end of the year, the real production of total material only rise 76% from sequen plan in amount of 13.804.533 Bcm, with 75% of the overburden production in amount of 11.505.159 Bcm and 80% of coal production in amount of 2.897.212 Ton. The failed of production target causing the working hours of rent unit doesn’t efective as the mine product. From the final evaluation, the condition of operation units is bad with the real average of physical avaibility under 85%. Based on handbook, the productivity of excavator backhoe CAT 385 that used for overburden is 501 Bcm/hour and excavator backhoe CAT 345 that used for coal is 269 Bcm/hour. In fact, the real of productivity for excavator CAT 385 only 379 Bcm/hrs and 205 Bcm/hrs for CAT 345. The bad performance of excavator make a shortage of production volume amounted to 3.844.841 Bcm of soil and 707.788 Tons of coal from the planned production target in swakelola mining.
