Abstract

proyek konstruksi diartikan sebagai serangkaian kegiatan untuk membangun atau mendirikan suatu bangunan atau konstruksi dimana proyek konstruksi dikatakan selesai apabila bangunan atau konstruksi tersebut siap digunakan. Proyek konstruksi yang dulu hanya identik dengan bangunan gedung/tempat tinggal sekarang berkembang untuk bangunan pabrik, kilang minyak, PLTU, dll. Proyek-proyek tersebut dikenal dengan proyek EPC karena proses perancangan, pengadaan, dan pelaksanaan konstruksi dilakukan oleh satu pihak yaitu kontraktor EPC. Proyek EPC maupun proyek konstruksi modem mempunyai batasan yang sama yaitu terbatas terhadap waktu yang dijadwalkan, biaya yang dianggarkan, serta mutu yang diinginkan oleh pemilik dapat teijamin untuk terpenuhi. Oleh sebab itu dibutuhkan suatu sistem manajemen yang dikenal dengan sistem manajemen mutu. Tugas akhir ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi sistem manajemen mutu pada proyek EPC serta mengetahui perbedaan karakteristik sistem manajemen mutu pada proyek EPC dengan proyek konstruksi modern.
