Abstract

Scour is a natural phenomenon caused by the flow of waier that erodes the basis of the channel, especially at the abutment and the narrowing of the river body. It also can cause degradation of construction which results in instability of the bridge construction. Object of this research is shaped abutment spill abutment. Destination throught this research is how to analyze and seek to control local scour at bridge abutments Kertapati palembang Ogan. The results showed that for the equation Laursen (1960) resulted in scour depth of 3.6263 m and Coloroda State University (CSU) produces scour depth of 0,711 m. Reduction method for local scour is most appropriate to use riprap and retaining wali.
