Abstract
Flood is one of the problems that often occurs in the city of Palembang, sub-watershed area of Palembang that is affected by flood during a high-intensity rain for example are sub-watershed Lambidaro, Boang, Sekanak, Bendung, Buah, Juaro, Batang, Sriguna, Aur and Kertapati. The mapping of flood prone area is for reference and anticipation for flood danger so that i can reduce the risk of forthcoming flood. The parameters used in this research are: slope, soil type, land use, rainfall and river buffer. One of the efforts for successful application is by Decision Support System (DSS) and Geographic Information System (GIS). The result of this research shows that the level of high flood hazard is dominated by soil type that has medium sensitivity inflitration rate, flat slope and settlement land use. Moderate flood hazard by dense settlement land use but have very sensitive infiltrarion rate. While low flood hazard by hilly slope and non-dense settelement. Percentage of high flood hazard is 11,64%, moderate flood hazard 59,75% and for low flood hazard 28,61%
