Abstract

Perencanaan perhitungan dimensi unit operasi pengolahan air limbah ini dilakukan di komplek Gedung kampus Inderalaya Universitas Sriwijaya. Tujuan dari perencanaan adalah untuk menghitung produksi dan menghitung dimensi unit instalasi pengolahan air limbah Universitas Sriwijaya kampus Inderalaya. Data- data yang dibutuhkan berupa data statistik jumlah civitas akademika Universitas Sriwijaya kampus Inderalaya. Langkah perhitungan dimulai dengan menghitung jumlah kebutuhan air bersih domestik dan non domestik. Hasil analisis kebutuhan tersebut digunakan sebagai perhitungan selanjutnya yaitu untuk mencari produksi debit air limbah rata-rata dan debit air limbah maksimum. Dengan mengetahui hasil perhitungan tersebut selanjutnya digunakan untuk menganalisis perencanaan dimensi instalasi pengolahan air limbah. Hasil analisis perhitungan menunjukan bahwa produksi air limbah maksimum pada Universitas Sriwijaya mencapai 0,0616 mVdet. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan tersebut, maka direncanakan pembuatan Instalasi Pengolahan Air Limbah dengan kapasitas produksi sebesar nilai debit air limbah yang dihasilkan. Proses pengolahan air limbah menjadi air baku ini harus melewati beberapa unit pengolahan yang terdiri dari proses pengolahan tingkat pertama (Secondary Treatment), pengolahan tingkat kedua {Secondary Treatment) dan pengolahan lumpur (Sludge Treatment)
