Abstract

PT. Bukit Asam, Tbk. is a State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN) engaged in the coal mining industry located in Tanjung Enim, South Sumatra, has a Mining Business Permit (IUP) covering an area of 40,347 Ha. The mining method used is open pit mining. The base of the mine is located at an elevation of 16 m with its highest point at an elevation of 107 m, so it has a depth of 97 m.Pit it has onesump capacity of 120,794 m3 with base sump lies at an elevation of 16 m and its surface lies at an elevation of 22 m. water onsump pumped into an open channel located at an elevation of 82 m, leading to a settling pond using a KSB DnD 200-MHX pump. Pit it is often submerged in water and flooded, because the drainage system does not meet the requirements, that is, the sump that is owned cannot accommodate the incoming water and often overflows, thus disrupting mining production activities. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out a Technical Study of the Coal Mine Drainage System. Runoff water discharge inPit 2 Banko Barat PT Bukit Asam Tbk, which entered the mining front of 14,655.24 m3/day. Planned increase in volumesump of 166,013.76 m3 of volumes sump actual amount of 120,794 m3. Volume increase sump planned by way of volume remodeling sump according to Ministerial Decree 1827 of 2018 No.17 Paragraph 1.. The discharge capacity of the KSB DnD 200-MHX pump is 664.045 m3/ hour and work for a minimum of 7.85 hours per day in order to balance the flow of water entering the mine. The dimensions of the open channel that will be planned are in the form of a trapezoid with a channel depth of 1.03 m, the water flow velocity in the open channel is 0.61 m/sec.
