Abstract

Lahan basah di pesisir laut menyediakan habitat untuk burung air. Habitat natural seperti mudflats semakin berkurang luas wilayahnya dan lahan basah buatan seperti tambak semakin bertambah. Muara Sungai Jeruju, Sungai Pasir, dan Sungai Lumpur secara geografis segaris dengan Taman Nasional Sembilang berpotensi menjadi daera penting burung (IBA) namun memiliki data yang minim. Diperlukan inventarisasi burung air sebagai data dasar untuk konservasi Pengamatan lapangan dilakukan pada bulan Agustus 2022 di dua tipe habitat yaitu mudflats dan tambak budidaya di masing-masing muara sungai, menggunakan metode point count dari beberapa titik hitung, dengan pengamatan habitat mudflats dilakukan dengan speed boat. Tercatat sebanyak 26 spesies dari 14 famili burung air. Mudflats memiliki jumlah spesies yang lebih tinggi (18 spesies) dibandingkan tambak (12 spesies). Delapan belas spesies ditemukan di dataran lumpur, famili Ardeidae dan Scolopacidae teramati. Tambak digunakan oleh 12 spesies yang didominasi oleh Ibis Rokoroko dan White-headed Stilt. Satu spesies terancam punah yaitu Bangau bluwok dan tiga spesies Hampir Terancam Punah yaitu Biru laut Ekor Blorok , Itik Benjut, dan Gajahan Besar. Enam spesies dilindungi oleh pemerintah Indonesia yaitu Elang Bondol, Kuntul Besar, Bangau bluwok, Dara Laut Kecil, Gajahan Erasia, dan Gajahan Pengala, Penelitian ini menunjukkan mudflats dan tambak di Muara Sungai Jeruju, Sungai Pasir, dan Sungai Lumpur, Sumatera Selatan merupakan habitat penting untuk melestarikan burung air residen dan migrasi
