Abstract

Every year, the use of electrical energy is increasing accompanied by a higher demand for electricity users. Solar energy is an alternative energy that can be used to reduce dependence on fossil energy. The most important component of a solar power plant is a solar panel that functions to convert solar energy into electrical energy. The output power produced by solar panels is affected by how much sunlight is absorbed. Reflectors can be used to increase the output power of solar panels so that the intensity of sunlight absorbed is higher. So in this study, 3 polycrystalline 10 Wp solar panels were used with the addition of flat mirror reflectors, aluminum foil reflectors, and a combination of flat mirror reflectors and aluminum foil mounted on 4 sides of the solar panels so that we could find out which solar panels produced the highest output power. Solar panels with flat mirror reflectors produce the highest output compared to solar panels with aluminum foil reflectors and combined reflectors with a maximum voltage value of 20 V, maximum current of 0.585 A, and maximum output power of 11.7 W because flat mirrors on 4 sides are able to reflect all sunlight that hits it towards the surface of the solar panel without light absorption occurring.
