Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe and analyze how the formation of a positive image by the Palembang Propermatic community. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with the research method used is case study. This research uses John Nimpoeno's theory of Image Formation. The data in this study were obtained through observation, in-depth interviews with 10 informants, and documentation. The results showed that the formation of a positive image of the Palembang Propermatic community is by doing activities that have an impact on others, paying attention to good appearance and complying with community and state rules, maintaining behavior in accordance with existing ethics and norms, riding by the rules, and avoiding all activities that can cause negative things.
