Abstract
Papaya is an important horticultural plant that are vulnerable to pest of mealybug Paracoccus marginatus. The mealybug attact fruit and leaf part of papaya and cause serious damage and event plant death. The objective of this study was to know the efficacy of liquid bioinsecticide contain active materials of conidia and hypha and metabolit of Beauveria Bassiana and Metarhizium anisopliae against mealybug (P.marginatus) Thisexperiment was conducted with randomized block design consisting of 5 treatments including control with 4 replication. The result showed that all treatments of liquid bioinsecticide based on B. Bassiana and M. Anisopliae used significantly (P=0,05) increased the mortality of P. Marginatus with the percentage of increasing 89,19-90,91% and 88,24-87,88%, respectively. There are no significantly diferencies between treated plant with the mixture of conidia and hypha and metabolite form both B.bassiana and M. Anisopliae. Liquid bioinsecticide with containing active material from B. Bassiana and M. Anisopliae was potensial to control mealbug on papaya.
