Abstract

Siltation occurs because the river is due to several factors, among others : its High erosion in upstream, which resulted in the deposition of sediment transport in estuaries, tidal and river sedimentation due. In general, due to the silting of the river sediment occurs because sendimen transported by water is no longer carried away by the water, this occurs when the velocity of the water decreases, so we often see where sedimentation occurs at the flow rate of the water in that section is reduced. At the mouth of the river is very prone to sedimentation, at the mouth of the river due to reduced water velocity and sediment to pass The aim of this study was to calculate the total amount of sediment (total load ) that occur in estuary Histories and compare calculations with calculations using the program Hec - Ras. Field data is processed and analyzed to obtain the results of the calculation of the total load on penampang 1 calculation results obtained for the method Ackers White 2.03 lb / s, and the method of Shen and Hung 9.675 Ib / s. At point 5 the results obtained for the calculation method of Ackers White 3.012 lb / s and method of Shen and Hung 22.26 lb / s. At point 4 the results obtained for the calculation method of Ackers White 14.34 lb / s, and the method of Shen and Hung 15.31 lb / s. At point 3 the calculation results obtained Ackers White 2.18 lb / s, and the method of Shen and Hung 2.11 lb / s. At point 2 the results obtained for the calculation method of Ackers and White 1,395 lb / s, and the method of Shen and Hung 7.161 Ib/s.
