Abstract

Soursop leaf and sapodilla leaf contain secondary metabolit is flavonoid which is antioxidant. The study aimed to the characteristic of the ethanol extract soursop leaf (Annona muricata L.) and sapodilla leaf (Manilkara zapota L.), total flavonoid contents, and antioxidant activity of combine ethanol extract soursoup leaf and sapodilla leaf using DPPH method. The treatment of antioxidant activity were divided into 6 groups, postitive control (vitamin C), ethanol extract of soursop leaf, ethanol extract of sapodilla leaf, combination (1:1), (1:2), (2:1). The result show that the characterization of the single ethanol extract of soursop leaf and sapodilla leaf meet the requirements of Ministry of Health of Republic of Indonesia (2017). Total flavonoid contents of ethanol extract soursop leaf and sapodilla leaf respectively were 47,39 mgQE/g ± 0,18 and 42,58 mgQE/g ± 0,08. The result of antioxidant activity with IC50 value of postitive control (vitamin C), ethanol extract of soursop leaf, ethanol extract of sapodilla leaf, combination (1:1), (1:2), (2:1) respectively were 3,39; 21,13; 83,28; 48,89; 74,03; 36,12 ppm. Combination of ethanol extract soursop leaf and sapodilla leaf (2:1) has the greatest antioxidant activity with the very strong category. The relationship between total flavonoid contents and antioxidant actity has negative correlations as indicated by the Pearson Correlation (-0,999). This means that the higher total flavonoid contents, the smaller the IC50 value.
