Purpose analyzing the selection behavior of sectio caesarea delivery among mothers in Central Bangka Regional Hospital. Method. This research uses qualitative methods with a phenomenological approach. The research informants consisted of 22 people consisting of 9 mothers who had given birth to SC at Central Bangka Hospital, 8 husbands of SC mothers, 1 puskesmas midwife, 1 hospital midwife, 1 hospital management, 1 maternal and child health manager at the district health office and 1 doctor. content specialist. The research was carried out in Central Bangka Regency, taking 3 villages and Central Bangka Hospital. Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews, document review and Focus Group Discussion (FGD). Data analysis using thematic analysis. Result five themes were found related to SC delivery selection behavior, namely maternal knowledge about SC, maternal delivery history, health worker recommendations, husband support and maternal medical indications. In choosing SC delivery at the Central Bangka Regional Hospital, mothers had good knowledge about SC. The mothers intended to have a normal delivery, but they decided on SC according to the health worker's recommendation and previous history of SC delivery. Husband's support was the main support when choosing SC delivery. Conclusion. Behaviors that can change intentions and attitudes in choosing SC delivery are motivated by medical and non-medical indications. Hospitals need to increase the strengthening of the service system by implementing IEC for pregnant women to avoid indications and complications during childbirth.
