Abstract
This research was carried out in Sugih Waras Village of Teluk Gelam Sub-District and Burnai Timur Village of Pedamaran Sub-Distric Ogan Komering Ilir Regen. The locations of oil palm farmers. A total of 60 farmers or 30 oil palm households from each village were chosen as research samples representing the farmers population. The objectives of this research were to (1) measure basic prices of Fresh Fruit Bunch (FFB) before anf after a decrease of world palm oil price, (2) analyze influence of FFB productivity on the FFB basic price an (3) analyze the FFB basic price changes farm income of oil palm plantation. The results showed that basic price of FFB per kg after price decrease was Rp. 950.08 per kg, higher than before the decrease Rp 637,32. When FFB production increase, the basic price would decrease, or vice versa. The average farm income before price decrease was Rp. 7,274,671.03 per six months, but surprisingly that the income after the crisis increased to Rp. 7,340,812.02. This phenomenon can be explained that actually FFB production increases in October and November which compensating the price reduction. In general it was proven that FFB productivity significantly influenced it?s basic price in opposite way, while FFB basic price positively influenced farmer?s income.
