Abstract

The objectives of this study were 1) To assess the profitability of rice farming on tidal land in Saleh Jaya Village, Air Saleh Sub-district, Banyuasin Regency. 2) To determine the amount of production risk, price, income received by farmers on rice farming in Saleh Jaya Village, Air Saleh Sub-district, Banyuasin Regency. 3) To find out the risk management done by farmers in rice farming. Sampling was done using purposive sampling method with a total of 30 respondents. The data used in this study are quantitative and qualitative data sourced from primary and secondary data. The analytical tools used were income analysis, B/C ratio, risk level analysis and LFA (Logical Framework Analysis). The results showed that the average profit of rice farming in Saleh Jaya Village was Rp 54,107,933 per year, with an average total revenue of Rp 96,134,067 per year, and an average income of Rp 64,134,067 per year. Rice farming in Saleh Jaya Village has a relatively low level of risk, namely production risk of 0.06 percent, income risk of 0.06 and price risk of 0 percent. Risk management carried out in Saleh Jaya Village, Air Saleh Subdistrict, Banyuasin Regency emphasizes on improving the quality and quantity of production.
