Abstract

Flood disasters in Ogan Ilir are common every year, to provide information related to flood disasters in Ogan Ilir Regency, of course it is very necessary to map the areas that have flood vulnerability. Mapping of areas that have a flood hazard level needs to be done so that the government can take the right policies to overcome them. Utilization of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is one of the ways in the mapping process, including making flood vulnerability maps which will be the focus of this research. The research used 6 parameters namely, land cover, elevation, slope, river density, rainfall, and soil type with a scoring method by giving a score for each parameter and overlaying and validating it to get a flood vulnerability map. From the results of this study resulted in three classifications, namely the high vulnerability level which has a percentage of 42,98% (91.176,04ha), the moderate vulnerability level has a percentage of 54.72% (116.080,57ha), and the low vulnerability level has a percentage of 2.28% (4.853,84ha). Furthermore, the results of the validation of the flood hazard map on the flood event point data in Ogan Ilir, from 16 samples of flood point data from BNPB, there are 0 points (0%) which are included in the low level of vulnerability, 5 points (31.25%) including moderate flood vulnerability areas and 11 points (68.75%) are in high vulnerability areas.
