Abstract

Physical fitness is one of the conditions that must be owned by everyone, because with a good physique can make people move well without experiencing significant fatigue. Considering that physical fitness has a very important role in training and competition conditions. Therefore, every student is required to have good physical fitness. This study aims to determine the physical tests of SMPN 1 Indralaya basketball players. This research is a quantitative research with descriptive design. The subjects of this study were basketball players of SMPN 1 Indralaya with a total of 30 players consisting of 16 boys and 14 girls. In this study to determine endurance using the 1000 meter run test for men and 800 meters for women, speed using the 50 meter run test, leg muscle explosiveness using the upright jump test, arm muscle strength using the body lift hanging test for men and hanging elbow bend for women, abdominal muscle strength using the sit-down lying test, agility using the Illinois agility run test and flexibility using the sit and reach test. The data analysis technique uses descriptive percentage. The results obtained from the physical test measurement research of SMPN 1 Indralaya basketball players are that there are 2 players (7%) in the good category, 25 players (83%) in the medium category, 3 players (10%) in the less category, while there are no basketball players at SMPN 1 Indralaya in the very good and very less category. It can be concluded that the average physical test of SMPN 1 Indralaya basketball players is in the moderate category. Keywords: Basketball, Physical Test, Measurement
