Abstract

Muara Enim is one o f the districts in Southern Sumatra. To support the rapid advancement of agricultnre in the region is necessary a good irrigation. location field in the village of pandan enim higher than the water source, therefore the need for assistance to waterwheel water into irrigation canals. There should also be planning dimensions to accommodate irrigation water resulting from rain water wheel and the corresponding calculation. Waterwheel i s a tool which can change the shape of the flow of energy, at the end of the assignment is made to the type of water mill water wheel move on. Materials used to make the wheel i s wood and used as a windmill blade is the pipe, while the material used for the shaft is wood. In the planning and preparation that it takes a theory that can be used in making the step waterwheel. As for the theory is the theory about making waterwheel related to fluid mechanics and related to water turbines. In this paper, an efficient windmill was made in diameter, which is 2 meters. Of calculations known to discharge produced water mill of 10.79 liters / sec at a flow rate of 1.6 meters / sec and were fed rice area of 8.71 Ha
