Abstract

The purpose of the research were (1) to measure the adoption level of bud grafting technique in Agung Lawangan Village North Dempo District Pagaralam City, (2) to count the farmer’s income on coffee farming in Agung Lawangan Village North Dempo District Pagaralam City, and (3) to analyze the correlation between the adoption level of bud grafting technique and the farmer’s income on coffee farming in Agung Lawangan Village North Dempo District Pagaralam City. This research used survey method, sampling method was done by random sampling, The sampling took 10 percents as much as 48 farmers of 480 from the population. The criteria was the farmers who adopted the bud grafting technique. The result of this research showed that the adoption level of bud grafting technique on coffee farming was in high criteria with average score 44,58, while the farmer’s income in 2010 was Rp 29.303.089,23 per hectare per year. The Spearman correlation test between the adoption level of bud grafting technique and the farmer’s income on coffee farming showed that rs count was 0,1735. Because of the sample more than 30 samples, definitely 48 samples, the normal distribution formula was used so that the result showed that Z count > Z table was 1,189 < 1,654 at a = 5 %.
