Abstract
Indonesia is an archipelagic country where there are many illegal ports where the increase in drug smuggling in Indonesia is increasing and there are many users in Batam. Singapore, as a result, a lot of drug smuggling is carried out on the borders of the surrounding countries where criminals take advantage of rat ports in Indonesia. This study examines the Indonesian Government's Efforts in Combating Drug Smuggling in Batam. The data sources used in this study are secondary data sources, which focus more on collecting data through literacy such as journals, books, articles, written media, websites, and official documents. The theory used is Share Responsibility has 5 indicators, namely Exchange of Criminal Information and Intelligence (Exchange of Information and Intelligence on Crime), Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters/MLA (Reciprocal Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters), Joint Investigation (Joint Investigation), Joint Operation and others, Training and Technical Assistance. The results of this study Indonesia has made several efforts in dealing with drugs in Batam including collaborating with Malaysia to increase joint supervision of the water police, POLRI and PDRM and community organizations participating in supporting the rejection of drug smuggling in Indonesia where Indonesia's efforts are quite efficient in handling cases Drugs In Indonesia itself, where data from 2018-2020 has decreased the rate of smuggling cases in the Riau Islands itself.
