Abstract
This research was conducted to see how the COVID-19 pandemic influenced the increase of racial discrimination in the United States. In 2020, COVID-19 began to spread across the United States and caused many changes to occur. One of them is the increasing cases of racial discrimination, especially against Asian. This research focused on the impact of increasing cases of racial discrimination on the human security of Asian in the United States during the pandemic. This research used human security concept by David Andersen-Rodgers dan Kerry F. Crawford as the rationale. The research method used in this research is descriptive-qualitative method, where the author explains the events/phenomenons that are happening according to the data that has been collected and described. The data source used in this research were obtained from books, journals, websites, and reports. The results obtained from this research are the increasing cases of racial discrimination due to the pandemic greatly affect the security of Asian people in the United States from various sectors. This is inseparable from the dimensions used in this study, including individual, state, and system. Individual, it explains the impact on individual human security, specifically Asian people living in the United States. Then, State which there was the role of the United States government itself that manage to cut and wipe out all of forms Asian Hates. And System. in this research was explained as well as the negative and positive impacts caused by the increase in Asian Hates during the pandemic. Therefore, the United States government immediately drafted a related bill to reduce acts of racial discrimination and prevent it from happening again in the future.
