Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk : 1) Menghitung berapa besar pendapatan usahatani padi yang diterima oleh Petani Bugis dan Petani Melayu serta menghitung berapa besar selisih pendapatan terhadap kebutuhan konsumsi Petani Bugis dan Melayu, 2) Mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pedapatan usahatani padi Petani Bugis dan Melayu. Pegumpulan data di lapangan dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret sampai April 2007. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitan ini adalah metode studi kasus dengan petani contoh adalah Petani Bugis dan Melayu yang melakukan kegiatan usahatani padi di Desa Muara Telang. Penarikan contoh dilakukan dengan metode acak berlapis tak berimbang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diketahui bahwa pendapatan yang diterima oleh Petani Bugis sebesar Rp3.088.502,93 dan pendapatan yang diterima oleh Petani Melayu sebesar Rp4.473.891,67. Sedangkan selisih pendapatan dengan konsumsi Petani Bugis sebesar Rp388.887,26 per bulan dan Petani Melayu sebesar Rp269.575,69 per bulan. Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi perbedaan pendapatan Petani Bugis dan Petani Melayu adalah biaya produksi, jumlah produksi dan harga Dimana biaya produksi dan jumlah produksi Petani Bugis lebih tinggi sedangkan harga jual lebih rendah dibanding Petani Melayu.
