Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan : (1) Menganalisis besarnya konsumsi beras rata-rata rumah tangga petani dalam periode satu periode musim tanam di Desa Sungai Medang Kecamatan Cambai Kota Prabumulih. (2) Menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi tingkat konsumsi beras rumah tangga petani di Desa Sungai Medang Kecamatan Cambai Kota Prabumulih. (3) Menganalisis tingkat kecukupan konsumsi, serta kecukupan produksi beras yang dikonsumsi oleh setiap rumah tangga petani di Desa Sungai Medang Kecamatan Cambai Kota Prabumulih. Tingkat konsumsi beras tiap anggota rumah tangga setelah dianalisis ternyata mencukupi standar Badan Ketahanan Pangan Indonesia (BKPI) yaitu sebesar (0,376 : 0,275). Berdasarkan hasil regresi yang diperoleh dari variabel yang diduga mempengaruhi konsumsi beras rumah tangga petani di Desa Sungai Medang pada bulan Januari, Februari, Maret, April, dan Mei tahun 2010, didapatkan R2 sebesar 0,903, ini menunjukan variabel konsumsi beras rumah tangga petani permusim tanam di pengaruhi oleh variabel bebas sebesar 90,3%. Sisa dari pengaruh sebesar 9,7 persen lagi dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor lain. Kecukupan konsumsi yang di peroleh dari perbandingan produksi terhadap konsumsi mendapatkan nilai positif, yaitu (296 : 202,4) hal ini menunjukan bahwa produksi yang dihasilkan oleh rumah tangga petani yang menjadi objek penelitian ini mampu memenuhi pangan rumah tangga mereka sendiri.
