Abstract
Income of palm oil farmers in two lands of typologies (dry land and wet land) obtained was not only dependent of palm oil farm. Business activities that they do was to get a larger income so that can to meet the needs of families with spended or consumption consist of food and non-food consumption. Business activities farmers fields in two typologies show any differences in the consumption behavior of households farmers. The results showed the contribution of the total revenue in the drylands of each activity for palm oil farm was 41.94 percent, for palm oil non farm 17.56 percent and out farm 40.50 percent, while wetlands the contribution were for palm oil farm 40.48 percent, non palm oil farm 14.94 percent and out farm 44.58 percent. It showed that palm oil farm still gave a big contribution. Meanwhile,expenditure for food and non-food consumptions on dry land each an average of Rp1.702.605,56 per month and Rp1.454.355,56 per month, on wetlands for Rp1.250.479,17 per month and Rp 851.055,56 per month. The results of the analysis of the correlation test showed a positive relationship between income to consumption expenditure, that mean when income increase, the consumption of farmers will increase in two typologies of land. If just calculated from palm oil farm income, the income of farmers in the two typologies of land can not sufficient their consumption needs. This proves that the famers must work for out farm activity essentially that was palm oil farm.
