Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the effect of NPK Compound 16-16-16 fertilizer doses on the growth and yield of Ciherang rice variety in lebak swampland in a floating cultivation. This research was conducted in a reservoir located within the Department of Agricultural Cultivation, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya (104°64'86"E; 3°22'51"S). The research started from August to December 2021. The research was arranged using the Randomized Block Design (RBD) method which consisted of 1 treatment, namely the NPK fertilizer dosage treatment with 4 dose levels and 3 replicates to obtain 12 treatment units and each unit contained 3 plants, so that the number of plants observed was 36 plants. NPK fertilizer doses treatment consisted of P0 = Control, P1 = 25 g/polybag, P2 = 30 g/polybag, P3 = 35 g/polybag. The data obtained were analyzed using the method of analysis of variance and continued with the 5% Least Significant Difference Test (LSD). Based on the results of the research conducted, it can be concluded that the doses of compound NPK 16-16-16 showed no significant effect on almost all parameters, namely plant height, number of tillers per clump, leaf greenness, panicle length, fresh weight of plant, air-dried weight of plant, and 100 grains of grain weight. Meanwhile, the application of compound NPK 16-16-16 showed a significant effect on the variable number of panicles per hill and grain weight per hill. Application of compound NPK fertilizer 16-16-16 at a dose of 30 g/clump can increase the growth and yield of Ciherang rice variety grown in a floating cultivation.
