Abstract

The planned production target for extracting coal is 600,000 tons in March 2019 with productivity of loading and excavating equipment of 308 tons / hour, but the realization is not suitable so that the required performance of loading and excavating equipment is needed. The actual productivity of the Komatsu PC 400 excavator is 293.65 tons / hour, so that the achievement of coal extraction production only reached 461,846.15 tons or around 77%. There is an analysis of the low effective working time, so know the factors that influence the low productivity of the digging tool. Then there needs to be an improvement in effective working time. The main factors that influence the performance of the digging tool are the factors of operator efficiency consisting of work barriers such as Friday prayer, on-site maintenance, refueling, talking safety, recovery and eating, heating tools, change shifts, prayer, rain, (slippery), waiting for other units (ripping), unavailability of operators, (general work), late to start work and too soon to start work. The time to calculate which causes effective working time is only 1501 hours with an efficiency of 77%. Efforts to improve production performance of the digging tool include an increase in effective work performance. Komatsu PC 400 amounted to 316.54 tons / hour with the achievement of coal quarrying production increasing to 511,085,484 tons / year or equal 83%.
