Abstract
This research aimed to determined whether antrachnose pathogens that infect tomatoes can infact eggplant and vice versa, and whether there is potential for cross protection between the two. The results showed that tomatoes and eggplant showed a positive response to cross inoculation treatment. The cross-inoculation treatment showed a slower attack symptom compared to cross-protection treatment. The results showed that cross-treatment between tomatoes and eggolant was not significantly different so that is did not cause potential cross-protection treatment between the two exept for one variable, namely the number of spores pes spot, the number of spores on eggplant was 0.69 x 106 spores/ml while the number of of spores in tomatoes is 5.55 x 106 spores/ml. Based on the results of the research, Colletotrichum capsici on tomatoes was able to suppress the number of spores from C. capsici on eggplant but not vice versa.
