Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan, mengetahui pengaruh, dan kesulitan peserta didik setelah penerapan teori Nolting yang terdiri dari kesalahan membaca petunjuk (misread-direction errors), kesalahan konsep (concept errors), kesalahan penerapan (application errors), dan kesalahan pengerjaan tes (test-taking errors) dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita matematika operasi hitung bilangan bulat kelas VI SD Negeri 001 Palembang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Pre-Experimental Design jenis rancangan One Group Pretest-Posttest Design dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa tes dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan hasil belajar peserta didik mengalami perubahan dari nilai rata-rata 37,54 menjadi 73,75. Hasil uji hipotesis diperoleh nilai signifikasi (2-tailed) = 0,000 < 0,05 untuk taraf signifikan 5% yang berarti Ha diterima dan H0 ditolak, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penerapan penerapan teori Nolting dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita matematika operasi hitung bilangan bulat terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik kelas VI SD Negeri 001 Palembang. Penyebab kesulitan dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita setelah penerapan teori Nolting adalah terburu-buru oleh waktu sehingga kurang teliti, tidak memahami soal, dan masih kurangnya pemahaman operasi hitung pengurangan bilangan negatif dan perkalian serta pembagian pada bilangan besar.
