Abstract

PT. Muara Alam Sejahtera is located in Muara Maung Village, Merapi Barat District, Lahat Regency, South Sumatra. The coal mining process is preceded by overburden excavation or activities carried out before coal getting, in determining the volume of overburden stripping in the Natural pit 4, survey activities and determination of transport equipment ritase. In the survey activities carried out by coordinate measurements of X / easting, Y / northing and Z / elevation using a total station with an area of ± 37 Ha. Furthermore, input in the MineScape software with the cut and fill method to produce overburden stripping volume in January 254,331.85 BCM, February 356,456.11 BCM, March 337,580.9 BCM with a total area of excavation January-March 20.9 Ha. While the volume is determined by the method of transport equipment in January 253,824 BCM, February 328,500 BCM and March 339,132 BCM. The difference between the two methods of measuring overburden volume by using a survey tool with truck count data in the Natural pit 4 from January to March 2019 obtained an average deviation of -2.6% with a standard deviation of 5.92%. The difference between the survey volume and truck count data every week is influenced by the cohesiveness of overburden material.
