Abstract

Sistem penambangan yang digunakan di PT Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk yaitu berupa sistem tambang terbuka (surface mining) dengan metode open pit. Seiring dengan kemajuan tambang, maka akan menghasilkan cekungan yang besar sehingga berpotensi menjadi daerah tampungan air. Berdasarkan perhitungan total debit air yang masuk ke area bottom pit sebesar 24.743,14 m3/hari sedangkan kapasitas aktual dari 4 unit pompa Ebara CN2JA sebesar 676,8 m3/jam dengan total kapasitas pemompaan sebesar 13.536 m3/hari belum mampu untuk mengatasi debit air yang masuk ke area bottom pit. Ketidaksesuaian antara besarnya debit air yang masuk dengan debit air yang dipompakan merupakan dasar diperlukannya penambahan 2 unit pompa HL200M yang memiliki kapasitas aktual sebesar 900 m3/jam untuk dioperasikan. Penggunaan 2 unit pompa Ebara CN2JA dan 2 unit pompa HL200M sudah cukup untuk mengatasi total debit air yang masuk ke area bottom pit dengan durasi jam kerja pompa sebesar 20 jam/hari. Volume air yang ada di area bottom pit saat ini sebesar 82.268 m3, dengan debit air yang masuk ke bottom pit sebesar 24.743,14 m3/hari dan total kapasitas pemompaan dari 4 unit pompa Ebara CN2JA dan 2 unit pompa HL200M sebesar 31.536 m3/hari maka waktu yang diperlukan untuk mengeringkan area bottom pit adalah 13 hari.
