Abstract
This research is motivated by the low performance of employees at the Regional Employment Agency (BKD) in Palembang. It was due to inaccurate placement of employees by the leadership that caused the limited knowledge of work owned by employees to their work. This research aimed to find out how big the influence of mutation in the improvement of employees performance at the Regional Employment Agency (BKD) in Palembang. This research used quantitative method with the position mutation theory from Moekijat and the performance theory of dessler which correlate to the if!fluen ce of position mutation and pe,formance. This research focused on the low performance of employees at the Regional Employment Agency (BKD) in Palembang. One of the relationships was the purpose of the implementation of mutation which attempted to give the right people in the right position. Then, the data were collected by using questionnaire. In order to improve the employee perfonnance. Based on the results of analysis and field research,the conclude is mutation bring of the positive and significant impact of employee performance at the Regional Employment Agency (BKD) in Palembang. It provable by hypotesis testing Tcount 3,427 > Ttable 1,699 so Ho rejected and Ha accepted which means mutation of position bring positive impact of employyee performance. The research giving recommend to the excecutive of mutation which giving effect 29. 6% and the 70.4% by other variable. It means, it can be analyzed the other factor which giving contribution to employee performance such as motivation.environment, work satisfied, work stress so the leader will implement the mutation of position as well to the employee.
