Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pertumbuhan dan hasil kailan (Brasicca olereceae L) pada tanah gambut dengan pemberian dosis kapur yang berbeda. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Rumah Plastik Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Sriwijaya, Indralaya pada bulan November 2011 sampai dengan Januari 2012. Rancangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 6 perlakuan, setiap perlakuan diulang sebanyak empat kali sehingga terdapat 24 unit perlakuan, masing-masing unit perlakuan terdiri dari 4 tanaman sehingga terdapat 96 tanaman. Adapun perlakuan di dalam penelitian ini Berbeda. adalah DO (kontrol), Dl= 25 g/polybag, D2= 50 g/polybag), D3= 75 g/polybag, D4= 100 g/polybag dan D5= 125 g/polybag. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan pengapuran berpengaruh yata pada tinggi tanaman, luas daun, berat berangkasan basah tanaman, berat berangkasan tajuk tanaman, berat berangkasan akar tanaman dan rasio tajuk akar. Perlakuan D4 (100 g/polybag) memberikan hasil paling tinggi pada peubah jumlah daun dan D2 (50 g/polybagO memberikan hasil paling tinggi pada peubah kandungan klorofil daun, walaupun tidak berbeda nyata.
