Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic that occurred has damaged the Indonesian economy and even the world. This is a threat to companies in various sectors. Thus, this study aims to examine the role of financial ratios (Current Ratio, Debt to Equity Ratio, and Total Asset Turnover, in predicting financial distress in the hotel and tourism sectors listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange using the Altman Z-Score Modification model. The data used in this study is secondary data in the form of company financial reports taken annually for the period 2020-2021 with a sample of 35 companies. The data is analyzed using multiple linier regression and the result show that Current Ratio and the Ratio of Debt to Equity have an effect on predicting the company's financial difficulties. In contrast, Total Asset Turnover has no effect in predicting the company's financial difficulties.
