Abstract

The study of burnup parameters uranium metallic (UZr) -based fuel cells on Gas-cooled Fast Reactors has been performed. Fuel cell geometry is cylindrical cell with a composition of 65% fuel (uranium metallic), 10% cladding (stainless steel) and 25% coolant (helium). The cell and burnup calculations are done by using PIJ module at Standard Reactor Analysis Code (SRAC) with a library JENDL-3.2. Feasibility performance of the fuel can be seen from some of the parameters of the effective multiplication factor (keff), infinite multiplication factor (kinf), burnup level and value of the conversion rate which showed comparable levels of production and consumption of fissile fuel.
