Abstract

The seasonal labour in Sungai Pinang Lagati , who work for sugar cane PTPN Vil Cinta Manis plantation were gelling paid weekly. The wages payment fr not enough to sufficient the need~ of their family which increased gradually every time. The purpose of this study was to ident{fy the seasonal level of welfare of workers as measured by lhe 2016 BPS indicators. Also was to determine the influence between income, cost, education, health degree, living condition, tecnology and injormatica/ usage, and the other of sosial indicator on welfare levels seasonal labour. The methods· of tht:s· research 1:s· quantirarive explainarion. The population of this research is all of seasonal labor in Sungai Pinang Lagati who was working in PTPN VII Cinta Manis plantation that amounts to 35 people. Sample of Lhis research is 35 people. The technic of sampling were taken as toLal sprr,p/fr,g, The vqr;ab/e of th;s reseqrr.;h consisfing of ;ndependenl variable include; income and cost level, education, health degree, living condition, technology and informatical usage, also the other social indicator, the dependent variable fr abo.ut ,wmsonal labour welfare. Analysis of data, using percent(lge and scoring, followed by multiple linear regression analysis. From the results of this study can be concluded that the welfare of seasonal workers in Sungai Pinang Lagati is 68.57% in verry lowwer level, and there is a positive and significant influence between independent variables and dependent variable with the highest signification probability value is 0,010 in variable X7 (other social indicator~), while the lowest probability value of significance is 0.023 on variable X5 (housing).
