Abstract

Dalam mengurangi gaya gempa yang terjadi pada suatu struktur umumnya digunakan peredam gempa. Salah satu peredam gempa yang biasanya digunakan adalah bracing. Dalam studi ini digunakan bracing jenis EBF (Eccentrically Braced Frames). Studi ini menggunakan lima model gedung baja 10 lantai dengan ukuran setiap model 18 m x 18 m dan tinggi tiap lantai 4 m. Gedung berfungsi sebagai gedung kantor di kota Palembang. Gedung baja menggunakan dua jenis bracing EBF yaitu X dengan vertikal link dan X dengan horizontal link. Hasil dari penelitian didapat bracing X dengan horizontal link merupakan bracing yang paling efektif menambah kekakuan dan kekuatan gedung. Bracing X dengan horizontal link pada model 5 dapat mereduksi simpangan lantai sebesar 57,71% dan drifl ratio sebesar 72,38%. Setelah dilakukan analisis pushover didapat performance point paling baik terlihat pada model 5 yang mampu menahan gaya geser sebesar 441,67 ton dan perpindahan yang terjadi 176,27 mm. Untuk kinerja bangunan kelima model gedung masuk kedalam tahap aman yaitu IO (.Immediate Occupancy). Kata kunci: bracing, respons spektrum, drifl ratio, pushover. sendi plastis
