Abstract

Bracing merupakan sistem peredam yang berfungsi untuk mengurangi dampak negatif akibat gempa. Bracing memiliki dua tipe antara lain, Concentrically Braced Frame (CBF) dan Eccentrically Braced Frame (EBF). Pada studi ini dibahas strukur baja 10 lantai dengan menggunakan Eccentrically Braced Frame (EBF). Terdapat lima model gedung yang dibahas, dengan ukuran tiap model 18 m x 18 m tinggi 40 m. Permodelan terdiri dari tanpa bracing, jenis bracing V terbalik EBF dengan horisontal link dan vertikal link. Struktur baja berfungsi sebagai gedung kantor di kota Palembang dengan jenis tanah lunak. Analisis time history menggunakan data gempa Kocaeli, Hollister dan Trinidad karena ketiga data gempa tersebut menyerupai gempa kota Palembang diperoleh melalui Software seismomatch. Hasil penelitian didapat simpangan, drift ratio, kecepatan, dan percepatan serta disajikan dalam bentuk grafik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bracing V terbalik dengan horisontal link berada di tengah bentang merupakan bracing yang dapat menambah kekuatan gedung paling besar. Bracing V terbalik pada model 2 dapat mereduksi simpangan arah x sebesar 39,353 mm dan arah y 12,750 mm. Model 2 mengurangi drift ratio dari model 1 menjadi sebesar 0,0057 pada arah x dan 0,0021 pada arah y. Model 2 memiliki kecepatan 123,539 mm/s arah x dan 41,584 mm/s arah y. Percepatan pada model 2 sebesar 655,401 mm/s2 arah x dan 172,091 mm/s2 arah y. Kata kunci: bracing, time history, simpangan, drift ratio, kecepatan, percepatan
