Abstract

The purpose of this research were (1) To measure the effectiveness of the management and implementation of the BPNT program from the perceptions of beneficiary households, (2) To measure the extent of BPNT programs to reduce household expenditure levels, and (3) To analyze the relationship between the effectiveness of BPNT with decreased household food expenditure levels. The research was conducted in subdistrict 3-4 Ulu district Seberang Ulu I Palembang City. The research methods was survey. The research samples were taken as many as 30 out of 100 beneficiary families by interviewing them. The data are primary and secondary data. The data processing method are used the scoring method with the aim to see the effectiveness of Non-Cash Food Assistance program, and compare the level of household expenditure before and after the program of Non-Cash Food Assistance to see whether the program is influential or not in to reducing the level of household expenditure from beneficiary households. And the last is, to see if there is a relationship between the effectiveness of the BPNT program with the decreased household expenditure rate, the spearman correlation test is used. Based on the results of this study, it is known that the program of Non-Cash Food Assistance in Kelurahan 3-4 Ulu Palembang City hasn’t been running effectively with the average score score 12,58. The level of household expenditure of beneficiary households decreased by an average of 8,12% after the Non-Cash Food Assistance program. There is no positives relationship between the effectiveness of the BPNT program with the level of household food expenditure beneficiary families
