Abstract
Electrical energy is a type of energy that is very necessary. Solar Power Plant is a power plant that good for use in tropical regions. The problem with solar power plant is that part of the battery is damaged due to unstable voltage and current. Buck-Boost Converter is a tool that serves to raise and lower the voltage. Based on research that has been done using a Buck-Boost converter on a solar power plant for 8 days, the average value is obtained in the Buck condition with a voltage of 13.38 V, the highest current is 1.59 A with a duty cycle of 48.23%, while in Boost conditions with a voltage of 25 V, the highest current is 1.63 A with a duty cycle of 63.44%. During the Buck condition, the output current value of the converter will increase even though the power generated is smaller. And during the Boost condition, the measured output current value will decrease but the resulting output power will be greater. This difference in value is due to the loss of current from the converter components used so that when working in the Boost condition, the electric current will decrease because the resistance and inductance is greater than the Buck condition.
