Abstract

Terminal penumpang merupakan sub-sistem dari system Bandar udara (Air port System) yang berlokasi pada sisi darat (land side) dan berfungsi sebagai tempat pemerosesan penumpang/barang yang tiba atau meninggalkan Bandar udara tersebut untuk melanjutkan kegiatan peijalanan sesuai dengan rencana menuju tujuan masingmasing. Oleh karena itu terminal diberi fasilitas-fasilitas untuk kemudahankemudahan bagi arus penumpang. Kapasitas terminal menyatakan kemampuan gedung terminal untuk menampung dan melakukan berbagai proses bagi penumpang ataupun barang selama waktu sibuk (peak hour) dengan baik dan nyaman. Dengan peningkatan penumpang diperkirakan yang sangat signifikan, maka perlu adanya perluasan-perluasan pada bagian-bagian tertentu berdasarkan perhitungan perencanaan. Penulisan skripsi ini dimaksudkan untuk pengoptimalan pelayanan jasa transportasi udara dan bila perlu dikembangkan, untuk mengatasi peningkatan jumlah penumpang/barang dan pergerakan pesawat udara pada masa yang akan datang.
