Abstract
This study aims to analyze the factors that cause Urbanization in South Sumatra Province. The data used in this study are panel data consisting of cross section data, namely 17 cities and regencies and time series data, namely data from 2016-2021. The data used in this study are secondary data and this study uses Panel Data Regression techniques with the Fixed Effect model. The results showed that the Employment Opportunity Rate variable had a significant positive effect on the Urbanization Rate in South Sumatra Province. The variables of City Minimum Wage, Economic Growth, and Education have a positive but insignificant effect on the Urbanization Rate in South Sumatra Province
