Abstract
Chronic disease, especially hypertension, is the highest health problem in society, so the government and BPJS Kesehatan are trying to overcome hypertension through Prolanis. Based on the 2021st Profile of the Dempo Health Center in Palembang City, there is data on the 10 biggest diseases and hypertension is in first place. Prolanis activities are certainly inseparable from the role of health workers, so it’s necessary to do an analysis of the role of health workers in Prolanis. The purpose of this study was to analyze the role of health workers as customers, communicators, motivators, facilitators, and counselors in increasing the participation of Prolanis participants at the Dempo Health Center. This study uses a qualitative approach by collecting data through in-depth interviews, document review, and observation. As customers, health workers have provided maximum service to participants so that most of the Prolanis activities at the Dempo Health Center have been running according to the BPJS Health guidelines. As communicators, health workers understand Prolanis so they can provide accurate information to participants. As a motivator, health workers conduct massive reminders to participants through WhatsApp Group and after the Prolanis activity. As facilitators, health workers simplify the administrative procedure, provide innovative "Pelayanan Ramah Terpadu Lansia (Perahu Lansia)" and counseling rooms. As counselors, health workers have conducted group education and two-way counseling. Based on the research results, the role of health workers as customer, communicator, motivator, fasilitator, and counselor have a role in the participation of hypertension Prolanis participants at the Dempo Health Center. Therefore, it is hoped that the Dempo Health Center can maximize the role of the health workers through home visit activity and maximize socialization of hypertension and Prolanis through social media.
