Abstract

Concrete is a mixture consisting of sand, gravel, crushed stone, or other aggregates are mixed together vith a paste made of cement and water to form a rock-like mass. In the development of concrete technology, the ise of Chemical and mineral additives in concrete is a lot, where the use of the added material is done to fnprove the quality of concrete. This research will be discussed ash or abbreviated ACS palm shell as a mineral ,dded to the concrete. In this study the effect of the addition of the ACS will be discussed in concrete with a percentage of 20%, 25% and 30% with a cube specimen size of 15 cm x 15 cm x 15 cm were tested at the age of „ 7, 14, 21, 28 and 56 days. In this study the addition of ACS percentage is taken of the amount of cement Y'ithout reducing the amount of cement originally. The results of this study show, the compressive strength of oncrete with the addition of ACS decreased fforn concrete without the addition of ACS. Concrete without the ^ddition of ACS has a compressive strength of 437.41 kg / cm 2 at 28 days. Concrete with the addition of 25% ^f ACS was greater than the addition of ACS with a percentage of 20% and 30%. Where the concrete .ompressive strength on the percentage of ACS 25% obtained 284 kg / cm 2, where as the addition of 20% jbtained ACS 254.37 kg / cm 2 and 30% obtained for ACS 208.89 kg / cm 2.
