Abstract

Penggunaan cold formed Steel dewasa ini telah sangat luas diaplikasikan dalam pelaksanaan konstruksi. Baja ringan memiliki kuat tarik yang tinggi dan lebih ringan dibandingkan dengan baja konvensional menjadi keunggulan dan daya tarik tersendiri bagi baja ringan dalam dunia konstruksi. Untuk mengembangkan penggunaan baja ringan maka dilakukan suatu penelitian penggunaan baja ringan pada elemen struktur seperti pengganti tulangan tarik pada balok beton bertulang. Pemodelan balok beton dilaksanakan dengan program Solidworks 2012 dimana analisa pemodelan yaitu analisa lentur menggunakan metode elemen hingga. Parameter yang diteliti adalah pengaruh penggunaan cold formed Steel, cold formed Steel ditambah shear connector dibandingkan dengan penggunaan tulangan baja konvensional yang dilihat berdasarkan kurva beban terhadap defleksi dan kurva momen terhadap putaran sudut. Dari beberapa hasil simulasi lentur diperoleh bahwa penggunaan cold formed Steel dan cold formed Steel ditambah shear connector belum mampu menyaingi balok beton bertulang menggunakan tulangan baja konvensional. Balok beton bertulang dengan tulangan baja konvensional memiliki kemampuan menanggung beban dan momen lebih baik dibandingkan dengan balok beton dengan cold formed Steel dan cold formed Steel ditambah shear connector Kata kunci : cold formed Steel, shear connector, balok beton, analisa lentur, Solidworks
