Abstract
Most of the activities carried out by humans on a daily basis will generate waste. Waste is not hazardous if it is released on a small scale. However, it can pose a danger to the environmental balance. One possible urban water treatment technology is Artificial Wetlands. Artificial wetlands are a management system that is designed and managed using natural processes. The process of water loss due to evapotranspiration is one of the important components of hydrology. Based on the evapotranspiration calculation, this does not have a large enough impact in helping to reduce pollutant levels, but in the graph it can be seen that the value in this calculation has progressed for each test sample where the optimal residence time occurs at most in sample 72, which is approximately 5 times. For the calculation of evapotranspiration the residence time obtained is not too large because it occurs at most 5 times in the 72nd sample where the residence time is 13.3 hours/day. Meanwhile, the calculation of the ideal residence time is relatively stable at 0.98 hours/day for each sample.
