Abstract

This study is aimed to determine the application of character values in the learning process of PPKn at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 01 Ogan Ilir. This study useda qualitative descriptive design and the sample was the students of VIII.8 class. The data of this study were collected by documentation, observation and interviews. The validity test of the data used includes the credibility test, transferability, and dependability. The data were analyzed by data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the application of character education in the learning process is carried out in three stages, a) Preparation, arranginganRPP that inserted character values, preparing stimulus media and preparing LKPD. b) Implementation, started with apperception which is repeating the previous material, giving related questions about daily life with the material to be studied. Presentation of stimulus media. Provide opportunities for students to have dialogue with them selves and their peers. Conduct guided dialogue with students. Determine the arguments and clarification of the establishment of students. Discussion or proof of argument. The final step is concludes the lesson. c) Evaluation/Assessment, carried out in three stages, namely attitude competency assessment, knowledge and skills.
