Abstract

Men who have sex with men (MSM) is a high-risk group of contracting HIV / AIDS, there were 1,873 LSL spread in the city of Palembang. Problems among MSM is having sex without using a condom which can lead to the risk of contracting HIV / AIDS. The purpose of this study to describe the behavior of condom use among MSM in preventing transmission of HIV / AIDS. This is a descriptive analytic study using in-depth interviews. Informants in this study amounted to 15 consists of six main informant LSL, LSL pair 6 key informants,3 key informants namely Health Agency of Palembang, South Sumatra Province KPA, and MPS, Data validation is done by triangulation of sources, methods and data. Analyzed by content analysis, presented in narrative form and interpreted. MSM behavior due to various things start to feel interested and comfortable with the same sex, abused, try and get a ribbing from friends. LSL first sexual intercourse since the elementary school, junior high and high school, MSM has been doing various forms of risky sexual behavior without using a condom for reasons of lack of pleasure / comfort and pain during sexual intercourse, Promiscuity, her partner feel healthy and HIV-free. On average MSM sexual intercourse 2 to 5 times in one month, all MSM and ordinary couple having sex in hotels and boarding houses. The entire MSM study did not use condoms during anal and oral sex, promiscuity, sex couples feel healthy and HIV-free this causes a high risk of transmission of HIV / AIDS among MSM.
